Internationalizing the Campus 2025

NAFSA's annual report cites exemplary practices, model approaches, and major trends shaping the current state of international education on U.S. campuses. 

Five institutions, from a strong and diverse set of nominees, were chosen to receive the Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization in 2025 and are profiled in depth in this report:

• Pennsylvania State University
• San Diego State University
• University of Arizona
• University of Georgia
• University of Notre Dame

Three institutions received the Senator Paul Simon Spotlight Award for their outstanding accomplishments in specific areas of internationalization:

• Saint Louis University
• University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service
• University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
