
Christine Shiau, MBA
Christine Shiau is the Executive Director of the Stevens Initiative at the Aspen Institute, where she leads efforts to empower young people and foster cross-cultural understanding through virtual exchange. She spearheads the Initiative’s vision to drive transformative change, preparing a new generation of globally competent and culturally aware leaders. Christine is a strategist and partnership-builder, shaping the Initiative’s trajectory and positioning virtual exchange as a growing international movement that is redefining global learning. Through her leadership, the Initiative has cultivated a resilient ecosystem for technology-enabled exchanges that strengthen global competencies and career readiness.
In addition to her role at the Stevens Initiative, Christine contributes to the international exchange community as a board member of AMP Global Youth and DCPS Global Education, and previously with the Alliance for International Exchange and Podium Education.
She brings a wealth of experience from both the public and private sectors, enriching her strategic perspective. Christine holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Marketing from the University of Illinois-Chicago and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
