From January 2 to February 5, 2013, USCIS accepted public comment on a draft Request for Evidence (RFE) template that will be used by USCIS adjudicators in adjudicating I-129 petitions filed for O-1A Aliens of Extraordinary Ability in Science, Education, Business, and Athletics. RFE templates assist adjudicators in tailoring an RFE for a specific petition to clearly describe to a petitioner what the deficiencies of the petition are, and to suggest evidence that might be helpful in resolving any deficiencies. Understanding the RFE template is also a good way to understand what adjudicators are looking for in the first place, while preparing a petition for filing.

USCIS accepted comments on the draft RFE template until February 5, 2013. Send all comments to: [email protected].

In addition to the draft RFE template for O-1A Aliens of Extraordinary Ability in Science, Education, Business, and Athletics, a number of other I-129/O-1B and O-2 draft RFE templates were also open for public comment, as listed below. Interested parties may send comments to [email protected]
