In this course, you’ll transform your approach to global engagement by moving beyond surface-level observations toward a deep, research-backed mastery of Intercultural Competence (ICC). Guided by experts Althea Gordon and Yongling Gorke, you’ll explore why ICC is no longer just an "extra" skill, but a vital professional requirement for fostering equity, student well-being, and sustainable international partnerships.

After completing this NAFSA e-Learning Express Course, participants will be able to:

This e-Learning course is led by Althea Gordon and Yongling Gorke. Althea is the campus registrar at The University of the West Indies’ Global campus and Yongling is the assistant director of the Office of Global Learning at University of North Carolina-Charlotte.
