Named in honor of Delo Blough, a distinguished leader in international education, this award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and impact in advancing the field over many years. This award celebrates seasoned professionals whose contributions have shaped policies, programs, or practices that have significantly enhanced international education at their institution, in their region, or globally.
Eligibility Criteria
Nominees should meet the following criteria:
- Have a long-standing career (typically 10+ years) in international higher education.
- Demonstrated leadership and influence in shaping international education policies, programs, or initiatives.
- Have made a sustained impact through mentorship, advocacy, scholarship, or institutional transformation.
- Contributed to the broader international education community beyond their institution (e.g., professional associations, conferences, policy initiatives).
- Recognized for fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence in the field.
Nomination Process
- Who Can Nominate? Colleagues, institutional leaders, or professionals in the international education community. Self-nominations are not accepted.
- Submission Requirements:
- A nomination statement (750–1,000 words) outlining the nominee’s contributions and long-term impact.
- At least two letters of support from colleagues, institutional leaders, or collaborators in international education.
- Optional: Supporting documents highlighting achievements, publications, or initiatives.
