Poster Session Proposals
NAFSA Region VII will be hosting a Virtual Poster Presentation in lieu of the live format during the Regional Conference. While we cannot meet and share our knowledge in person, this poses an excellent opportunity to present your knowledge to the greater field of international education. We highly encourage all subfields of international education to submit their proposals by August 6, 2020 at 11:59pm EST. The first ten poster sessions submitted completed and accepted will receive up to two complimentary registrations for the poster presenters to attend the full Region VII virtual program.
The poster sessions will be divided into two sections: 1. Best Practices and 2. Research, and will be similar in nature to a TED talk. These two categories could include presentations on Teaching, Leadership, and Scholarship and within the specific communities of International Student and Scholar Services, International Enrollment Management, and Education Abroad. The Research session format will be similar to the traditional presentation format at our regional conferences, while the Best Practices will be similar to round table discussions discussing topics such as general knowledge, office policies, and best practices within the respective fields of international education. The sessions will be pre-recorded (10 - 12 minutes) and uploaded so they can be accessed asynchronously.
The Region VII leadership team hopes this will be a viable substitute to share knowledge to the international community during these challenging times. We look forward to receiving your proposal!
Poster session submissions are now closed.

Case Study Competition
The Case Study Competition is going virtual this year! Graduate students and new professionals in their first three years of service to the international education field are encouraged to demonstrate their knowledge and experience by forming 2-person teams to participate in a case study competition addressing challenges faced by IE professionals. Various experienced IE leaders from the Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship & International Education Leadership Knowledge Communities will serve as informal mentors. Teams will virtually present their 10-minute presentations to three to four judges who will have the opportunity to ask questions and decide on a winning team.
There are only openings for six teams this year, so please be sure to register early to secure your spot!
All participating teams receive a certificate of recognition. The winning team will be announced at the Region VII Business Awards and Business Meeting and receives:
