Connecting research and practice in international education is vital. Each year, NAFSA's Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship Knowledge Community (TLS KC) honors an individual's contributions to the knowledge and practice of the field through the Innovative Research in International Education Award.

This event features a presentation from the 2024 award recipient, Miri Yemini, focusing on lessons from her research about global citizenship education [she expands further on these ideas in the November 2024 Trends & Insights article]. TLS KC member leaders also provide opportunities for large-group discussion about the impacts of research in the field and provide guidance about the process to apply for the 2025 TLS KC Award.

This event is open to everyone—especially scholar-practitioners and researchers of all levels, including graduate students. All are encouraged to come with any questions or ideas.
