“The authors remind us of the complexities associated with the education abroad profession—including issues of access, data privacy, risk management, and assessment—while keeping an unshakable focus on students’ success, safety, and physical and mental health. In times of flux, the authors urge us to maintain a strategic approach to education abroad management, whereby leadership is key to forging collaboration both inside and outside the campus. This publication is an essential resource for the modern administration of education abroad in our colleges and universities.”—Gonzalo Bruce, PhD, assistant provost for global education, Boise State University

“Now more than ever, there is a glaring need for the advice provided to the practitioners in the field by the authors of the more than 26 chapters collected in this work. Every aspect of administering education abroad programs is covered, from the big picture to the brass-tacks issues. The chapters contain sharply honed analyses and practical recommendations for education abroad professionals who are dedicated to running successful, life-impacting programs.”—Liza Carbajo, MA, executive director for international education, Miami Dade College
