The Scientist and the Spy, a new book that will be released in early February, follows the history of theft of science and trade secrets by Chinese nationals. In the course of the book, author Mara Hvistendahl reveals an FBI program that surveilled an estimated 4,000 Chinese students and researchers in the United States. The former program tracked the students and scientists starting in 1967 and at least through the 1970s. Read more in Axios.
