NAFSA International Education Town Hall events are our opportunity to share, listen, and learn together.

The International Education Leadership collection of NAFSA’s on-demand e-Learning Seminars serve as a valuable resource for professionals looking to launch their careers in international education and become leaders of the field.

This position assists in the development of the Symposium on Leadership, a NAFSA Signature Program of the IEL KC, conference programming to support the needs of SIOs, and other programs and events throughout the year.

This position is a member of the IEL KC leadership team and concurrently represents the IEL KC on the Annual Conference Committee (ACC) Content Team. This position oversees the development of educational, professional development, and networking content for the IEL KC audience at the NAFSA Annual

The NAFSA International Education Professional Competencies™ is the most comprehensive listing of the necessary competencies for success in the field of international education.

The Chair takes the lead role in ensuring that the Academy for International Education continues to meet the training needs of newcomers, those in transition, and those who have taken on new or expanded responsibilities.

This position is a member of the IEL KC leadership team and provides oversight of the Leading Internationalization network (LIZN), the IEL KC’s professional network and primary vehicle for disseminating knowledge and information relevant to SIOs.

Throughout the year, NAFSA works with numerous experienced international educators to conduct live, online chats. These conversations are free of charge and generally last one hour.
