The live workshops and labs are designed to meet the diverse needs of international education professionals. And, the workshops will welcome participants from the U.S. and abroad.

Prevailing Wage Determinations: An Analysis and Practice of Self-Determinations

Based on the Department of Labor’s (DOL) guidance and with support from a team of experienced trainers, this interactive learning lab presents a series of case studies for participants to practice determining the wage level for in-house prevailing wage calculations. Participants must have previous experience or familiarity with filing H-1B petitions and/or permanent labor certifications (PERM) and working with prevailing wage determinations. This is an intermediate-level training.

F-1 Student Advising: Advanced

Using a structured process, participants apply their knowledge of federal regulations and collaborate with colleagues on a series of complex case studies built on current issues to connect facts to regulations and then present their decisions to other participants. The content is designed for experienced F-1 advisers who have at least 8-10 years of experience in the field.
